My apologies for the lack in posting. I’ve been busy, my dog ate it, …etc etc.
A lot has happened in the past two months.
"It's been too long! We've been left in the dark!"
Who are you, Statler and Waldorf? Calm down.
If you can't be funny, be brief, right?
...Scratch that; I'll do both!
Highlights:
(1) I visited my friend Eli in Florence, Italy. I even got to see my friend Kahla as well! While in Florence, I ate the best pastry I have ever eaten... ever. It’s been two months and I am still going through withdrawal. On my last day in Florence, I visited Michelangelo's David. Ha! David saw David. Hilarious, right?
(2) I got an A on my Czech test! Působivé, že? Yeah, I’m really cool.
(3) I visited my friends Sam, Eric, and Emily in Madrid, Spain. Dani also visited on the same weekend! (Ellie, I can’t remember… were you there too?) While in Madrid, I was approached by a prostitute. Details TBD.
Ok, so I really planned on posting pictures of these two trips, because apparently pictures are each worth 1,000 words. I mean jeeze, that’s a lot of words! That would save me some time writing and would save you some time reading. And I’m sure you would have enjoyed them. I just don’t have the time. Sorry for the build-up.
This just in: my parents are here. Words cannot describe the amount of happiness and much needed comfort that their company brings.
After countless meetings, intensive classes, and dozens of re-writes, pre-production is about to come to an end. We start filming this Monday. Hashtag scared.
Chris Palmer, a wise mentor of mine, once said, “burn a pile of money and stab a fork in your eye. Then, you’ve made a movie.”
Well said, Mr. Palmer. Well said.
But, I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t love it. So bring on the silverware!
PS Sam Dina – let me know when you read this.
Act fast; you’re being tested.
